What is a Healer?

What Constitutes a Healer?

A healer is someone who facilitates the process of recovery and transformation in others. A Healer reminds the person seeking Healing that there is only 1 source of healing, and that is the Innate and Divine Intelligence. The Power that made the body heals the body.

If you are seeking out a Healer you will want to be sure to asses what constitutes a healer vs a Practitioner or Doctor. To do that, you also want to be clear on what you are searching for. Some do not want to gain mindful awareness of themselves their patterns or seek out the root of their ailments and instead just want symptom management; in this case an allopathic path is better suited. The person who is seeking to Heal on all levels, and uncover the root or roots of their patterns and are willing to become aware of what has been hidden, this person is better suited for a healer.

Here are some key characteristics that constitute a healer:

  1. Empathy and Compassion: A healer deeply understands and feels the emotions of others, offering compassion and support without judgment.
  2. Intuitive Insight: Healers often have a heightened sense of intuition, allowing them to sense and understand underlying issues that may not be immediately apparent.
  3. Holistic Approach: A true healer looks at the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—addressing all aspects of well-being rather than just symptoms.
  4. Energy Work: Healers work with energy as they work with and include all aspects of our being (body, mind, emotions, ether, spirit), using practices such as frequency, therapeutic touch, or other forms of energy medicine to restore balance and harmony within the body.
  5. Listening and Presence: A healer provides a safe space for others to express themselves, listening actively and being fully present during the healing process.
  6. Knowledge and Skills: While not always formally trained, healers possess a deep understanding of various healing practices and modalities, often acquired through experience and self-study.
  7. Guidance and Support: A healer acts as a guide, helping individuals navigate their healing journey, offering support, and encouraging self-discovery and empowerment.
  8. Personal Healing Journey: Many healers have undergone their own healing journeys, which gives them insight and empathy for others’ experiences.
  9. Empowerment: Healers empower you to know that you can heal, to choose to drop into awareness and work through the subconscious and hidden patterns that have manifested in the physical. They remind you that you and the amazing intelligence within you as the power and ability to heal and overcome anything through devotion, time and repetition.
